I have always liked these old Newport cigarette ads, and I have used many as source material for drawings over the years. So I produced this book compiling them, over 140 ads. I have a terrific book by Vincent Fecteau called ‘The Good The Bad and the Ugly’ (from 2015) that I really love which is similarly text free, full bleed images cover-to-cover. There’s something I really like about flipping through that and it seems like the perfect use of a book / art book format. Another favourite book from my collection compiles Mexico City disco sound system flyers by Panther Publishing. It was released by Rollo Press in 2014, and is beautifully put together.
